Yoga – The healthy living
Yoga is an art and science of healthy living.
Yoga was developed almost 5000 years ago by Indus-Saraswati civilization. The word yoga comes from sanskrit word ‘Yuj’ which means ‘to join’ or ‘to reunite’. The word yoga was first mentioned in the oldest script Rigveda. Yoga is essentially a spiritual discipline based on science. It focuses on bringing harmony between mind, body and soul.
Yoga is for everyone. It is never late to start yoga, one can start even after attaining the age of sixty and it is very essential for old age. Regular practice can make one 10-15 years younger than their real age.
Yoga develops ability to adapt to changing situations. It builds confidence and makes your extra year meaningful. When the practice starts in childhood, they learn to develop confidence and concentrate better. It not only strengthens the body , but also makes their mind strong, positive and stable.
Yoga is basis of all religions. It educates the practitioner on self-understanding, love, selfless service, management of pain and peaceful living. One should learn yoga under the guidance of knowledgeable and experienced teacher and keep practicing it.
